The Grand Hotel Rimini, the five star deluxe hotel, which has always been considered as the jewel of the Adriatic Riviera, is a magnificent historical building which has just celebrated its 100th anniversary. The mythical hotel was inaugurated on July 1st 1908 and over the years has welcome a large number of celebrity guests: the tenor Caruso, the Duce Mussolini, Gorbatchev, Bush Senior and the First Lady Barbara, Lady Diana, Christian Barnard, Claudia Cardinale, Tony Blair, Sharon Stone, Albert of Monaco and the Dalai Lama, just to mention a few.
With the taking over of the new owners, the Batani Family, major renovation works have been immediately started and carried out following the criteria imposed by the Italian Ministery of Fine Arts. At present, the new Grand Hotel Rimini, a national monument since 1994, has returned to its ancient splendour and boasts its beautiful Liberty façade, the magnificent terrace, the beautiful park with centennial trees. Also the ancient ball rooms and most of the guest rooms have been completely renovated. Brand new and precious materials such as travertine, onyx and white marble from northern Italy (Trentino) and the original renovated parquet flooring or the beautiful mosaics of original Venetian flooring in the ancient ball rooms combine in a perfect harmony between the old and new, history and present time. The ambitious project will be completed with the setting of the famous domes which were destroyed during the terrible fire that broke out in July 1920.

The Grand Hotel Rimini, defined by its guests as a “magnificent oasis of tranquillity”, is surrounded by a vast luxuriant garden of centennial trees, olives and delicate flowers, and stands just a few steps away from its private beach of golden sand, equipped with a swimming-pool, restaurant-bar and a wellness centre open in summer time. At just one kilometre from the hotel, the historical centre of Rimini is the heart of luxury shopping and of night life, starting at the “Cantinette” near the old fishery or at the numerous bars ant pubs in the main square. Rimini is also synonym with history as its centre boasts very ancient Roman remains. Besides a lot of cultural initiatives, such as painting exhibitions or classical music concerts, are organized all year long, also at an international level. The Grand Hotel Rimini complex includes three buildings: the Grand Hotel Rimini itself with its 117 rooms, the Residenza Parco Fellini, with 61 rooms and the modern Conference Centre with a total capacity of up to 630 delegates. The rooms in the main building, the restoration of which is under completion, still exhibit pieces of antique furniture such as the French wardrobes, the desks and the beautiful Venetian chandelier from Murano. Rooms at the Residenza Parco Fellini, built in 1906, have been renovated in a neo-classical style. The superb oeno-gastronomy is the speciality of the house. The ancient ball rooms are the setting to the famous restaurant “La Dolce Vita” where the Chef Claudio Di Bernardo and his brigade prepare delicious revisited dishes from the local tradition, but also national and international specialities of meat and fish. Also the fantastic home-made desserts prepared by our Chef Pâtissier with great expertise are worth mentioning. Simplicity, exaltation of flavours by using only natural, fresh ingredients, added to a strong passion. This is the secret to our cuisine. During the summer, the restaurant opens onto the magnificent terrace overlooking the sea and the garden and caressed by a gentle breeze in the evenings.
